Following Levels 1-3, this Safeguarding Adults (Level 4) course will provide in-depth awareness and understanding of safeguarding adults. This course is aimed at improving the best practice knowledge of staff in key safeguarding roles as a safeguarding team member/ leader.

Topics Covered (+ Level 1-3 Courses)
As a safeguarding team member/ leader, contribute to the development of robust internal safeguarding policy, guidelines and protocols and oversee/ lead safeguarding quality assurance, lead service reviews and improvement processes
Discuss, share and apply the best practice knowledge in safeguarding adults at risk of harm including latest research evidence implications
Advanced understanding of legislation, criminal justice system, the courts, information sharing and governance, confidentiality and consent
Advanced knowledge of relevant national and international issues, policies and implications
Professional and experts’ role in the court process
Conduct a safeguarding training needs analysis, commission, plan, design, deliver, evaluate single/ inter-agency training, teaching for staff
Support colleagues in writing a chronology and review about individual adults
Work effectively with adult safeguarding colleagues both locally and regionally
Provide advice and information about safeguarding to the employing authority
Provide specialist advice to practitioners
Manage the media and organisational public relations around safeguarding/ child protection
Course Description
This Safeguarding Adults (Level 4) 2-day course is aimed to fully equip professionals in key safeguarding roles with an advanced level of knowledge to safeguard and protect adults at risk of harm.
This may include Designated Safeguarding Officers/ Leads, Heads of Adult Safeguarding, Doctors, Nurses, Midwives, Police etc. These staff may be safeguarding team members and/ or leaders.
