This advanced course will provide in-depth awareness and understanding of safeguarding people over the age of 16 who may have a temporary or permanent loss of capacity, with authorisation, and where Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) are followed. It is updated by legislative changes and codes of practice.

This 1 day advanced course is aimed at professionals that may have contact with people over the age of 16 years who may have a temporary or permanent loss of capacity.

This course aims to ensure that candidates have a thorough understanding of the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) for England and Wales.
